Abstract

Food needs in the community are increasing, one of which is the need for cooking oil, which homemakers usually use for cooking purposes and culinary traders. One of the villages that has increased the use of cooking oil ingredients is Sumberduren Village, Tarokan District, Kediri. People in the area still need to learn the dangers or benefits of used cooking oil waste, and many people work as culinary traders. Cooking oil waste utilization activity is carried out by training and socialization methods related to the benefits of using cooking oil waste in soap. In addition, community service activities by students of KKN Group 22 IAIN Kediri are expected to be able to increase community understanding, especially homemakers, about the importance of handling used cooking oil waste, developing alternative processing from used cooking oil waste raw materials into soap that has more value and great benefits for the people of Sumberduren Village.
